We agreed: Crimson had further to go, and would have continued were it not for the difficulties balancing Crim calendars, solo and group commitments. Pat is up for The FraKctured ProjeKct.

Chrysta was due on at 21.30, but didn’t. While we were waiting, a slightly aggressive, slightly drunken man on my right seemed to imply, in a hostile fashion, that by me sitting on an empty chair, I was actually sitting on his chair. Perhaps I am too old for audiences at rock shows, particularly where the commercial success of the promotion is underpinned by sales of alcohol.

Turning a seeming delay into an opportunity-for-discussion with David, we addressed The Universal Symphony. This a suggestion I made recently, anticipating little response, but David engaged enthusiastically. More of this very soon.

Chrysta came onstage at 22.00 with bass guitarist and Pat on drums. The guitarist was missing: he had disappeared after soundcheck. And the performance space had no backdrop to project  her filmic accompaniment. But, an honourable performance by voice, bass guitar and drums.

Leaving c. 22.30 and arriving back to a WillyFred, home alone for the evening, very keen to play.
